About
My name is Scott Kimber
an Australian Director of Photography living and working in Vancouver, Canada. I’ve had the privilege of working on projects that have shaped my career and vision.

Early in my journey, I shot the French/Australian feature Art or Love, filmed in both Australia and France. This was not only my first international project but also my first overseas trip, a life changing experience. Later, I worked in South Africa on the political drama Meniscus, filmed in Johannesburg’s Kliptown slums, an experience that opened my eyes to different ways of life and deepened my appreciation for the small things.

In addition to these early career-defining experiences, I’ve served as DP on features like Charlie's Farm and tandem unit on the TV mini-series Unspeakable. My work has been recognized with ACS cinematography awards, including the Golden Tripod for my work on Ruby + Prankster, a milestone achievement on my career bucket list.

My approach is rooted in collaboration, always aiming to bring the director’s vision to life through dynamic visuals, lighting, and camera movement. I’m always looking for new challenges as a DP, seeking to push boundaries and explore new ways to tell stories through the lens.
